DIRECTV vs Dish Network

July 29th, 2009 · No Comments · Communications

In the early 1990s, satellite television was first introduced to the market. It was understandable that only a number of people actually went out of their way to get their hands on a satellite dish. After all, the dish was a lot more expensive just as its size was considered large and intrusive.

At the time, people also used it to have access to networks from around the world or channels that are not meant for mass audiences. However, people did not automatically get those signals. They had to look for those signals that is usually by chance alone.

This is not the case these days. If you want a particular channel, all you have to do is subscribe to a direct broadcast satellite provider or DBS provider. A DBS provider, such as Directv and Dish Network, is the one who chooses the channels from the programming sources and brings it to your television sets. Simply sign up, an installer comes out and puts up a satellite dish for you and connects it to all of your television sets inside the home. In most cases, homeowners can have up to four different rooms set up to receive satellite TV signals. This is quite an advantage when comparing Direct TV vs Dish Network satellite.

Satellite television is not only limited to the number of channels you can have. There is also a satellite HD that feeds apt programs for your hi definition television set. HDTV has a bigger resolution that gives way to maximum viewing pleasure. These shows also come with surround sound that pretty much takes the cake for both TV and home theatre fans. Best of all, there are so many Direct TV specials out there today. Spanish speaking customers can take advantage of the Direct TV Mas bundles.

The pleasures it brings take another turn with the arrival of the technology of a digital video recorder. A DVR is a recording tool meant for television shows. This device gives more control over live television that fanatics no longer have to fret about missing their favorite shows. Truly a great way catch up on what you might miss on Direct TV.

Current Comcast Specials

July 25th, 2009 · No Comments · Communications

With the incredible increase in technology in the past few years, you may be wondering about how to best take advantage of it for the benefit of yourself and your family while making sure that you aren’t paying too much for what you’re getting.  This can be a dilemma, but Comcast specials can make it a lot easier with its extensive services!  Not only can this industry leader provide your family with high speed Internet, digital cable TV service, and a home phone line; but it can also combine all of these services into a single monthly bill and even give you a discount for “buying in bulk” so to speak for your home technological connectivity!

Comcast’s high speed Internet service is a great example of how your family can effectively stay connected.  It provides the fastest residential Internet connection that’s available in most areas, is significantly faster than what’s provided by the competition, yet it provides superior value by costing the same as or less than the competition!  Speed is incredibly important when it comes to an Internet connection and this company delivers speed in spades!  More speed means that more people in your household can used the Internet all at once for more data intensive things without having to worry about slowing each other down.  More speed can also mean greater access to multimedia applications like streaming audio and video, as well as video and audio downloads!  The fact that Comcast’s Internet connection has an extremely low latency and high reliability also makes it a great choice for any web application that has to take place in real time.  This includes VoIP, chatting, instant messaging, virtual reality, and multiplayer computer games!  An unreliable, high latency connection to the Internet can make those kinds of web applications difficult if not impossible to use. Finally, Comcast TV delivers excellent security in the form of parental control software and McAfee security software for protection from viruses and hackers!

Phone technology has also made real strides in recent years, and Comcast has kept up in such a way as to make this new technology affordable and easy for your family to use! Thanks to Digital Voice, your family can enjoy free domestic long distance and extensive calling features for less than you would pay the telephone provider!

Cable TV is still on of Comcast’s excellent services, but it has gotten even better with the addition of digital technology!  You can now get about three hundred channels in the largest digital programming package from Comcast, or choose from smaller programming packages to save money.  You can also get excellent supplementary features no matter which programming package you choose!  For instance all of your local channels, extensive digital music channels, ON DEMAND (for video on demand service), parental controls, and an interactive on screen program guide all come standard with every digital programming package.  Each digital programming package will also give you the option of adding a DVR so that you can record TV for later viewing without the fuss associated with the now obsolete VCR!  Comcast also provides numerous HDTV options both in the form of HDTV channels and selections available through ON DEMAND.In fact, Comcast Cable TV is the industry leader with over one thousand HDTV options available at any given time!

You can definitely see that Current Comcast Specials is the best choice in a number of different ways!

How to burn a downloadable audio book to CD

July 22nd, 2009 · No Comments · Communications

When it comes to burning (or copying/writing) a downloadable audio book into CD, you must be sure that it isn’t for commercial purpose, but strictly for personal use. Violating this law is a really bad idea as it can get you into really serious copyright infringement problems.

Of course, the audio books you download are still under copyright. Even after you have payed for them as the content still belongs to the publisher.

The only instance where they are no longer under copyright is when the authors or translators have died over 70 years ago. There are also some publications that are made by the government that are not under copyright.

But the rule of "only for personal use" is still ultimate when it comes to burning any downloadable audio book into CD or any such formats.

You won't believe it, but there are even certain audio book publishers that don't allow their audio books to be copied into CD. Such audio book publishers then go ahead to disable the ability to burn into CD.

To be sure if your audio book publishers allow this, check it out before going ahead to buy it.

It will not be beneficial for you to buy it with the primary purpose of burning it to CD to listen with your CD player, only to find that you can't burn it to CD.

Also, when you are transferring audio books onto a compact disk you may need to use multiple CDs. For example, an audio book of about 10 hours can take you as many as 7 CDs to copy into, especially if you want to playback the CD with an MP3 player.

That being said, below are the steps to take to burn (or copy) any downloadable audio book into CD:

NOTE that the below instructions are based on Windows Media Player Version 10. If you have a previous version installed you can install the most up to date version from Microsoft's website. This is the URL - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download

First, the computer you want to use to burn the audio book into CD must be equipped with a recordable CD drive and CD-burning software.

In other words, it is this CD-burning software that can burn the audio book into the CD. And it is your CD drive that can be used for this purpose.

Second, play the audio book on Windows Media Player. You will need to make sure that you select 'Full Mode' when you are doing this, do not choose "Skin Mode".

Third, you will notice the "now playing" information displayed on the right-had side of your Windows Media Player. If this does not show up you can press "Restore the Video and Visualization Pane" button to display it.

Fourth, you can now click the "Library" tab. You will notice the “Start Burn” button displayed.

5th. You will now need to insert a blank CD into your PC.

Sixth, click the "Start Burn" button. Your Windows Media Player will begin burning the audio book into the CD you have inserted.

Lastly, Most audio books will be larger than one CD, if your's is, Windows Media Player will ask you to insert a new CD. You can remove the one inside and insert another blank CD.

When the entire burning process is finished, it will display the status as "Complete".

An excellent source that I have found for audio book downloads is Spoken Network.

This is where you can get them:

5 Tips to Make Money From Home in One Day

It may seem like there are adverts for make money online “systems” everywhere. You must have seen them. It is almost impossible to have missed an ad that claims you will become a millionaire overnight if you buy their system, or to ignore it.

Making money online with articles.
Making money online with blogging.
Making money online with surveys.

Second, we decide to hold a yard sale or a garage sale where you can sell everything from old clothes, books, furniture etc. You can make good money out of it and even can get rid off the things that you don’t require.

“How to Make Money online” but I wouldn’t mind setting the record straight, and write a couple of articles which are a hard hitting slam on some of the more unscrupulous folks in that industry.

Pay Per Click – How to make money From Home Without a Website Or a List

The secret to making a lot of money from pay per click is to create campaigns that make you money (Easier said than done). Once you have a lucrative campaign in place, then you simply put more money into it. You keep creating campaigns until you are making the kind of money you want to make. Once the campaigns are in place, the system is very simple to maintain. You need to test and track your results to make sure your campaigns are continuing to make money. The problem here is that there’s a lot of trial and error involved. Learn the fundamentals of pay per click marketing BEFORE you spend away your hard earned money. To help you get started, here are five tips:.

You can make a full time income by building a search engine around a hugely popular topic. This topic has a third of all searches on Google and yahoo making it one of the most popular niches today and growing.

Do your keyword research. You want keywords with lots of searches and little competition. This may seem a hard thing to do. Notice though that I said little competition, not no competition. If there’s no competition for a keyword, something may be wrong with the keyword and it won’t pull sales. Avoid it.

There is a huge difference in TRYING to make money and actually making it.  This is exactly why so many, many people who finally find the success they are looking for, frequently say, once I figured it out “it was easy”.  It is because there is nothing to figure out, there is nothing to work hard at, there is nothing you have to master, except for who “You Are Being and the way you Think.” When I am coaching people on my team who have some major goals (keep in mind, I only coach people who want to make multiple 6 figures a year), one of the first things I tell them is:.

Start with free pay per click traffic. There is a ton of free pay per click traffic available on the internet. Do a search in your favorite search engine for a term like “free pay per click traffic” (Use the quotes. You will also find this without the quotes.) Look for directories that list pay per click search engines. This will allow you to compare traffic deals.

Become a student of self mastery.  My goal here was to open your mind to other possibilities.   hope you will stay with me on this subject as I go into great detail in the future.

Ham Radio Information

July 17th, 2009 · No Comments · Communications

The most common hobby name given to amateur radio is ham radio, which is a big part of the international communications as a complex system. Public service and recreation are the elements that stimulate the activity of the service participants, but it is also true that it is on their skills that emergency and disaster communications often rely if necessary. Estimations indicate that some six million people around the world are regularly part of ham radio, and although they are not broadcasting to make money, the profit comes from the joy of being on air. The element that makes ham radio stations stand apart is not the lack of professional skill but rather the absence of advertising moments.

Ham radio probably gets back to the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th when ninety amateur stations serviced Canada and the United States. The appearance of ham radio is tributary to hobby practices and experiments, and one cannot deny that very often, amateur radio founders have given significant contributions to science, services and industry. Moreover, plenty of emergency cases had a happy end because of the intervention of ham radio operators.

Ham radio covers several types of transmissions and besides the quality FM (frequency modulation) that we are all familiar with, ham radio operators also work on single sideband with a higher transmission reliability or on the Morse code even if technology has come a long way since the days of the radio-telegraph. Presently, computers have changed the evolution of ham radio for ever, with the introduction of the digital modes and the development of the packet radio. Last but not least, ham radio operators often use the low power communications on shortwave bands to stay in real-time mode.

Ham radio through satellite signal is no longer out of reach with the existence of the orbiting satellites carrying amateur radio (OSCAR); all one needs is a basic hand-held transceiver to make the broadcast possible. What it is very interesting is that many ham radio operators use the aurora borealis and the moon for the reflection of the radio waves. Some ham radio stations have even got into contact with the International Space Station as the astronauts on board are also licensed as amateur radio operators. On-air talks are frequent as many individuals use ham radio only to communicate with other enthusiasts.
