118 800 Number Allows Everyone to Ring Your Mobile

For many years we have had business telephone directories which give you the number of any UK business. It has been a very valuable service and one that people have been happy with for years, but people have been left shocked at the new announcement that a new service will be launching that actually puts you in touch with peoples mobile numbers.

The service called 118 800, has collected around 42 million tele phone numbers. The service will work very similar to the traditional telephone directories, the only difference is that the number will not be given out.

But a huge amount of people of people have caused uproar and they believe there is still a huge amount of issues left. People will be on the database without them actually realising and it could literally mean they get a huge amount of calls.

Could you imagine if there were famous people's numbers in the database, they would probably end up receiving hundreds of new calls every day, simply by people they do not know. People can opt for their mobile to become ex-directory but only by sending a text message or calling at a standard network rate.Even then it could take upto a month to get the changes updated.

There are two ways in which the service can work, firstly you can call the directory and ask to be put through to a specific person. The operator will then speak to the person on the line and ask them whether or not it is ok to be put through to you.
